“Permission is the asset of the future” – Seth Godin

Are you a musician, comedian, technologist, leader, author, marketer, or entrepreneur, it is time you start building an email and SMS list of people that you can deliver “anticipated, personal and relevant messages” to, a list of people that have given you permission to contact them, not because it is your right, for it is not . But, because it is a priviledge.

You will do this because this group of people will be your most loyal cutomers. They are the ones likely to buy your book, album, product or service, the moment it hits the market. They are the ones that will tell their friends about what you have to offer thereby making your idea to spread wider and faster.

It is all the more easier to build this permission asset because of new communication channels like the internet and SMS. Sites like, www.kowope.com and www.g160.com.ng (among many others) are trying to transform the way businesses are run by helping them build permission assets online(websites and email list) and offline (SMS).

Using the services is not even enough, you have to work hard to build a relationship with your customers. A relationship that is built on trust. This can be done by sending relevant messages.

NOTE: Dont send rubbish and dont SPAM anybody. It will only push your customers away from you.
